What do I do if I think I want to be a sister?
Even to dare asking the question indicates you are a thinking and discerning woman! You obviously have a desire to align your desires with God’s heart. This is a good start.
- Pray! Ask God to be a part of the decision. Whatever you decide, you will always have a vocation to help bring about God’s kingdom of love and forgiveness.
- Find a qualified spiritual director. You will probably see that person once a month. Your director will help you to ask the right questions and to see where God is leading you.
- Look at many communities. Write to them. Visit them. What attracts you to them? What doesn’t attract you? Every community of sisters has a different gift. Look for the one that matches your desires and gifts.
