Jubilee Farm

In the desire to stand in solidarity with the thousands of small farmers who find they must sell their family-owned farms and in response to Pope John Paul II’s Call for a Year of Jubilee in 2000, the Dominican Sisters acquired the land now named Jubilee Farm.

“Jubilee” honors one of the jubilee injunctions in Leviticus 25 that the land shall also rest from toil. “Farm” honors the past history of these acres and of the surrounding area. Only a small portion of our acreage is in food production. Our organic gardens grow a variety of vegetables and fruits.

Jubilee Farm, founded in 1999, is home, sanctuary, and school for all who seek right relationship with the larger Earth community.

Hours - Guests are welcome to visit throughout the year. Our hours are generally 9:00 am through dusk, Monday through Friday. For our own Sabbath time, we close at Saturday 4:00 pm through Sunday noon.

We suggest you call before coming to ensure that someone is home, but please feel free to stop by if you are in the area.  Call 787-6927.
