How Can You Help?

The Dominican Sisters of Springfield are members of “Friends of La Oroya and the Mantaro,” a broad-based coalition of Peruvian and U.S. religious and environmental groups working in partnership for health and wholeness for the people of La Oroya.

You are welcome to join the partnership. Here are some ways you can help:




Learn:

Invite the Friends of La Oroya to speak to your faith community or organization.

Become a partner:

Appoint a liaison with Friends of La Oroya to keep your faith community connected to the effort.

Volunteer:

Friends of La Oroya needs translators who can do English-Spanish, Spanish-English translating of spoken conversation and written materials. We also need Spanish tutors and teachers.

Pray:

Here is the prayer service that was used at the delegation. You are welcome to use it for your private prayer and share it with your faith community.
