Sr. Charlotte Rebbe

Presently, I am serving as a minister of care at St. Joseph Parish in Springfield, IL. I entered the Springfield Dominicans in 1958. Over the past 45 years I have served as a parish director, pastoral associate, secondary school teacher and elementary school teacher. In addition to teaching in the classroom, I have taught school music, piano lessons, and served as a liturgist for several parishes. For a period of 10 years, while teaching at Sacred Heart Academy, I did offset printing for Sacred Heart Academy and the Dominican community.

In 1990 I was appointed as the first director of the Springfield Dominican Associate Program. I held that position for six years.

I came to the Dominicans from St. Peter’s Parish in Petersburg, IL. After graduating from Petersburg Harris High School (now PORTA), I worked for the State of Illinois as a secretary for eight years. I have a bachelor of arts and a master of arts in business education and a masters in pastoral ministry.

During my years as a parish director in the Green Bay, WI area, I became an avid Green Bay Packers fan. I'm also a Chicago Cub fan. Other hobbies include reading, card playing, and playing the piano for my own enjoyment.
